SCHOOL BAGS:  Help is needed with supplying school bags with rope that completes the handsewn bags.  Each bag uses 4 yards of rope, so 100’ of rope is needed for 8 bags.  Our goal is 100 school bags.  The rope is required to have ¼” thickness.  Color does not matter.  

Here are the specs:  KingCord ¼” x 100’ Camouflage Diamond Braid Polypropylene Rope in assorted colors. Model Number 341221MNPDQ, Menard’s SKU#235115.  Menard’s low price is $7.99, which is the best price found and is double what was paid in past years.  Menard’s did not have the big spool.

PERSONAL CARE KITS:  During Lent, we are asking you to bring in items needed to make these kits.  With the many disasters which have been happening in our world, people need the basics for good hygiene.  Each kit needs the following:

Week One – Feb 18-22: Light-weight, dark color, bath size towel, between 20” x 40” and 52” x 27”.

Week Two – Feb 25-Mar 1: 2 or 3 bath-size bars of soap, equaling 8-9 oz, in original wrapping.

Week Three – Mar 4-8: One adult size toothbrush in original package, or a multi-pack with each brush sealed in a business size envelope.  NO plastic bags or wrap.)

Week Four – Mar 11-15: One sturdy comb, packaging removed.

Week Five – Mar 18-22: One metal nail clipper, packaging removed.

You may give supplies for more than one kit.

SOUPER BOWL:  Our annual Souper Bowl collection resulted in 80.5 lbs of soup and $95 for the Lakeland Pantry. Congratulations on a great job everyone!

LENT:  Wednesday Lenten services start this week, on Ash Wednesday, 5 pm.  The first Sunday of Lent is next Sunday.  During Lent, there will be no Saturday worship services.  On Wednesday evenings, soup supper is 5 pm, followed by Midweek Lenten service at 5:45 pm.  If you are able to bring something to the soup supper, please see the sign-up sheet on the kiosk in the fellowship room.  

FREDERICK PLACE MEAL:  Calvary is scheduled to provide the meal on Saturday, February 21st.  Please see the sign-up sheet on the kiosk for ingredients needed.

EASTER FLOWERS:  Please order by Wednesday, February 25th so JJs can get the flowers you would like. The sign-up list is on the KIOSK.  Choose from the list and order an Easter Lily, Regal Geranium, Daisy, Reiger Begonia, and/or a Pansy Bowl. They range in price from $23 to $28 and colors are listed.  When placing your order with the office, please include information on who/what you are remembering, etc. with the flowers you order.
