RUMMAGE SALE:  The annual rummage sale will be Saturday, August 1, 2026, 8:30 am – 1:30 pm.  We have two weeks left to bring all of our goodies in for this sale.  

If you are able to help in any way with set-up on Wednesday thru Friday (29th – 31st), or with take-down (after the sale on Saturday, 8/1), being available that day to help, etc., please sign up on the sheet on the kiosk.

Will someone please take some photos of the sale so that I can use them in our advertising next year instead of using generic pics from the web?  I’d be ever so grateful! VACATION:  Pastor Max will be on vacation this week!  In the event of an emergency, she will be available by phone.

PREPARE FOR A CELEBRATION:  Mark your calendar for September 27, 2026, when we will celebrate with a special service for Calvary’s 75th anniversary.  Invite former members or neighbors to join in.  Plans are being made for an exciting morning, a pot luck meal featuring 1950s cuisine, lots of music, guests, and activities.

You will also discover people and concerns needing your prayers. There are articles from the synod and other church organizations which alert you to what has been and what is coming. Of course, there are also sign-up sheets for in-house projects.

LWR KITS: We are putting together Baby Care Kits.  For these, we need:  HAND towels in dark colors, 4 oz Ivory soap bars, baby socks, and sleepers in 6 mo. to 24 mo. sizes.

Sewing skills are still needed!  School bags are cut out and instructions provided (on the wooden table topped with laundry baskets).  32 bags are complete and filled with supplies.  We hope to have many, many more done by the end of August.

“ASK TO RECEIVE”:  This is the stewardship theme for 2026-27.  We ask our members for support to keep our ministry going at Calvary.  We urge you to ask the Lord to motivate you to generosity and a strong commitment in your giving.  There is a letter, promise giving card, and a volunteer form in your mail slot, coming to your email, and copies on the entrance table.  Read and consider the information and return the forms to aid our planning and receive your promises.

FREDERICK PLACE MEALS:  Our April Chinese food meal was well-received.  Thanks again to all who donated ingredients and baked:  Nance Beyer, Linda Dube, Nancy Heykes, Irene Kohl, Mary Leppi, Vicky Stephens and Barb Thompson.  Our last meal delivery was Friday, June 12th.  The next meal we prepare will be for Friday, July10th.  Check the kiosk for the sign-up sheet!

P.S. We could use some clean 5-quart ice cream containers to deliver salads and soups, so please wash and save after you've enjoyed your icy treats and we'll make good use of them!

PRAYERS:  We offer our prayers for the family of Lee Samuelson, who now joins his wife, Sharon, in the church triumphant.  Lee passed away at the memory care facility in the Mukwonago area on June 8, 2026.  Since their children are in that area, the funeral will be held there on June 13.  Sympathy cards can be sent to the house in Lake Tomahawk, 6229 Muskellunge Highland, 54539.  Their son, Jeff, will be there.
