There are many ways that members and friends of Calvary can participate in the life and ministry of the Congregation. Whatever your interest or skill may be -- there is a place for you at Calvary.

 

Worship & Music Team –Helps in planning planning worship services and slelecting hymns and music for worship.

Choir – Help us praise the Lord through by singing! New voices are always welcome.

Special Music – Share your vocal or instrumental talents at worship and other events.

Worship Assistant – Our worship assistants read the lessons and assist with communion at worship on Saturday & Sunday. 

Ushers – Ushers greet worshipers, distribute bulletins, collect the offering and direct communicants to receive the sacrament.  

Fellowship hosts - Make coffee, prepare and/or set out treats for the fellowship hour after worship. 

Altar Guild Team – Team members help prepare for worship by setting up communion and cleaning up afterward, changing paraments, making sure candles are filled with oil, and other similar tasks.

Live Stream Directors - Using the congregation's Mevo camera and iPad, our live stream directors broadcast the Sunday service for the homebound and others to view on our Facebook page. (See the link to our Facebook page at the bottom of this page.)

Campground  Worship Team - Help lead Calvary's Campground Worship by serving as a lay preacher, worship leader, lector, musician, usher or greeter.

Service Team - The Service Team oversees and creates quilts, school bags and personal care kits for Lutheran World Relief. They coordinate activities and collections for World Hunger and Disaster Response. And they oversee Calvary's "Loan Closet" which provides members and friends with crutches, walkers, wheel chairs, etc. in time of need. Women of the ELCA  ‘WELCA’ – Through various programs and activities, the Women of the ELCA minister in the name of Christ at Calvary, in the community, and throughout the world. All women are automatically members of the WELCA and are encouraged to particpate in our programs and activities.

Christian Education Team & Children Learning At Calvary ‘CLAC’ – Members of the Christian Education Team coordinate the educational activities of the pairsh, including: planning and/or leading Bible Studies, recruiting or serving as teachers for children aged 3 through middle school.

Stewardship Team – This team plans and conducts programs and activities to help members become good stewards of their time, talent and treasure.

<~ Building and Grounds Team – Assist in the up-keep and repair of our building and grounds.

Funeral Luncheon Helpers –Help setup, prepare, serve coffee and food after funeral services. 

Office Volunteer – Assist in the office - duties vary, computer skills are helpful.

Money Counters – We need several teams of two people (preferably unrelated) to count the offering and take the money to the bank after services each week.

Calvary Garden Team: Got a green Thumb?  Then come, work in Calvary's Community Garden in the spring, summer and fall. Help till the soil, plant the seeds, pull the weeds, prune the branches, water the plants, and havest the vegetables to provide a generous donation of fruit and vegetables to the local food pantry.
